Illuminated paper sculptures are made by hand in Ridgewood Queens. I made one for my partner, scoring both sides by hand, then six more. Lichen inspired me to scale the work up for the good people of New York City.
Pergamanata parchment from Italy is scored on two sides, pleated into peaks and valleys and joined with archival paste to make three dimensional forms that can be slipped over fixtures and constrained by tiny toggles or wire.
